Took delivery (so to speak of my new C model and the joy of having a universal orifice was overwhelming. I made the owner (who graciously offered to drive the stove an hour to my house) wait for an 1.5 hours while I lay on his basement floor disassembling the stove and removing every piece of porcelain on the stove. I was taking no chances with the errant bang or scratch coming out of the basement. Stove looks as if hardly used and 2 of the burners look as if they were never used. Porcelain in pristine condition. broiler area spotless as well. Came with all pots (good condition) and the coveted Thermobaker. One defect was an older porcelain repair to the oven door that had worn off and looked shabby. Happily I can use the undamaged porcelain door from my B model.
Word to the wise when buying. If seller says stove used regularly for 50 years by large family stay away(like my B-Model). Wear and tear, grease and grime, heat and moisture takes a toll after all the years. Im am not sure if I want to tackle my B Model given what I am facing and the paucity of shallow drip pans and LP burners.
